Before joining UnitedHealthcare, Heather worked in private legal practices in Pittsburgh where she concentrated on corporate and securities law, representing health care entities in mergers and acquisitions.

Catherine has extensive experience supporting policy makers to develop sustainable programs focused on improving outcomes.

Lenys Alcoreza is the Executive Sponsor of Diversity & Inclusion for UnitedHealthcare Community & State, as well as being the National Vice President of Sales & Field Marketing. In this dual role, she focuses on diversity imperatives throughout UnitedHealthcare’s Medicaid business, as well as leading the company’s sales efforts and field marketing programs for the UnitedHealthcare Medicaid and Dual Special Needs Medicare products. Prior to her current role, Lenys was the Chief Sales & Marketing Officer for American Health Medicare, a Medicare managed care plan in Puerto Rico. She has also held various leadership positions with Amerigroup Corporation where she led sales initiatives and retention programs.
Jean Benson is Chief Financial Officer of UnitedHealthcare Community & State where she oversees the financial management of the business. Prior to this role, Jean served as Senior Vice President of Corporate Finance at Optum (a division of UnitedHealth Group) responsible for activities including strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting, pricing, actuarial services, corporate consolidations and capital. Before joining UnitedHealth Group, Jean served in a number of executive positions at companies within the financial services industry including MoneyGram International, Inc. and Metris Companies. She started her career in public accounting at Deloitte & Touche.
Dr. Jeffrey Brenner is the Senior Vice President of Integrated Health and Social Services at UnitedHealthcare Community & State. In this role, Dr. Brenner leads the Integrated Clinical and myConnections™ teams. The Integrated Clinical team oversees the national care management, quality, value based contracting, and clinical innovation strategy for UnitedHealthcare Community and State. myConnections™ is UnitedHealthcare’s program to help low-income individuals and families access essential social services that are the gateway to better health. Previously, Dr. Brenner served as founder and Executive Director of the Camden Coalition of Healthcare Providers in Camden, NJ, and owned and operated a solo-practice, urban family medicine office providing health services to local Medicaid populations.
Roger Brown is the Vice President of Business Development for UnitedHealthcare’s Medicaid business where he leads our Business Development team. He is responsible for designing and leading strategies to retain and grow our markets to best support our government customers. Prior to this role Roger was with our Military & Veterans segment, and before joining UnitedHealthcare had nearly 30 years of leadership experience in the Defense Industry, both private sector and active duty, retiring as a Colonel from the US Air Force in 2012.
Dr. Stephen Cha is Chief Medical Officer of UnitedHealthcare Community & State, where he oversees clinical strategies and programs while acting as the liaison for critical clinical initiatives. He also plays a key role in clinical thought leadership and serves as a subject matter expert in care decisions throughout Community & State. Prior to joining UnitedHealthcare, Dr. Cha served as the Group Director in the State Innovation Group at the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Innovation (CMMI). He has also served as the Chief Medical Officer at the Center for Medicaid & CHIP Services (CMCS), and is a practicing physician. Dr. Cha has a strong background in dynamic health policy thought leadership, health care transformation, and quality reporting.
Steven Cragle is Chief Marketing and Communications Officer for UnitedHealthcare Community & State where he leads the marketing and communications organizations. In this role, Steven is responsible for market development, member acquisition, engagement and retention, internal communications and external initiatives designed to protect and enhance the company’s reputation. Prior to joining UnitedHealthcare, Steven served as Vice President of Global Communications at Merck, an American pharmaceutical company located in New Jersey.
Brett Edelson is the Senior Vice President of Strategy at UnitedHealthcare Community & State. In this role, Brett leads teams focused on Market & Competitive Intelligence, the Consumer Experience, Business & Strategic Planning and DSNP / Dually Eligible Populations. Prior to this role, Brett held numerous leadership positions at UnitedHealth Group and previously worked in the Strategy & Operations practice at Deloitte Consulting. Brett serves on the Board of Directors for Hennepin Health Foundation and Close Gaps by 5 (Minnesota Early Learning Foundation), and serves as the Board Chair for Children’s Hospitals & Clinics of MN (Minnetonka).
Christa Emerson leads the Human Capital team at UnitedHealthcare Community & State. In this role, Christa oversees all aspects of human capital strategy and delivery including talent management, employee and leader development, and organizational effectiveness. Prior to this role, she served in a number of leadership positions for the organization, including Vice President of Human Capital for UnitedHealthcare Global, and Director of Compensation Operations for UnitedHealth Group. Before joining UnitedHealth Group, Christa worked in Human Resources for Verizon.
Bror Hultgren is the Senior Vice President for UnitedHealthcare Community & State. As Senior Vice President, Bror provides leadership, guidance and support for states across the country. Prior to this role, Bror served as the Interim CEO of the UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Iowa. He was also the Senior Vice President of Special Populations and Direct Care Models on the national clinical team for Community & State. Bror joined UnitedHealthcare in 2000 to lead Medicaid programs for Colorado and later served as Executive Director of Evercare of Colorado and West Region Vice President for Evercare. Prior to joining UnitedHealthcare, Bror worked in local and state government roles, which provided him with experience in both community and residential mental health services, mental health and child welfare case management, as well as regulatory management of Medicaid health plans. Bror earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Hobart College and a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Health Administration from the University of Colorado at Denver.
Rashmita Mistry is the Chief Operating Officer of UnitedHealthcare Community & State where she leads the organization’s short and long term operational goals. Prior to becoming Chief Operating Officer at Community & State, she served as Senior Vice President of Benefit Operations for Consumer Services for UnitedHealthcare’s Employer & Individual business. Before joining UnitedHealth Group, Rashmita held a number of senior level positions leading Global Health Benefits at Cigna, and Global Core Operations at Citigroup.
Sue Schick is a Senior Vice President and Chief Growth Officer for UnitedHealthcare Community & State. As Chief Growth Officer, Sue is responsible for designing and building national, innovative strategies to support government customers and help our members live healthier lives. As Senior Vice President, Sue provides leadership, guidance and support for states across the country. Prior to this role, Sue was the Chief Executive Officer of UnitedHealthcare of Pennsylvania, and before that, held a variety of leadership positions, including National Vice President of Distribution Strategies and Regional Vice President of Sales. She joined UnitedHealthcare more than 15 years ago and has over 25 years of leadership experience in the health care and benefits industry. Sue also serves on the Board of Trustees for both the March of Dimes and Randolph-Macon College.
Tim Spilker is the Senior Vice President for UnitedHealthcare Community & State. As Senior Vice President, Tim provides leadership, guidance and support for states across the country. Prior to this role, he served in a number of leadership positions within UnitedHealthcare Community and State, including Northeast Region CEO, UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Kansas Chief Executive Officer, Vice President of Consumer Engagement, and Executive Director of UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Nebraska. Prior to joining UnitedHealthcare, Tim worked in a variety of industries, including consumer products, community development banking, and nonprofit organizations. Tim earned an undergraduate degree from Northwestern University, an MBA from Harvard Business School, and a Masters in Healthcare Delivery Science from Dartmouth College.
Chris Stidman serves as the Senior Vice President of National Network Strategy for UnitedHealthcare Community & State. In this role, Chris oversees all aspects of network strategy, including ensuring our comprehensive provider network meets our state customers’ requirements and is tailored to the unique needs of our members. Additionally, Chris develops strategies and solutions to bring enhanced quality and efficiency to the health care system. Prior to this role, he served in a number of leadership positions for the organization, including President of the United Health Foundation and Senior Vice President of Social Responsibility at UnitedHealth Group. Before this, Chris worked at Optum, holding roles in Network Solutions, Complex Population Management and leading our relationship with AARP.
Christopher Zaetta is the General Counsel for UnitedHealthcare Community & State. In this role he is responsible for leading a team of more than fifty lawyers and para-professionals on all legal and regulatory matters for UnitedHealthcare’s Medicaid business. Christopher started his career at the United States Department of Justice Tax Division where he handled all aspects of litigation for cases pending in the federal district and bankruptcy courts. He earned his undergraduate degree in accounting from the University of Pennsylvania at The Wharton School of Business. He then earned his law degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where he graduated first in his class, Summa Cum Laude.
Chris has served as Chief Compliance Officer for UnitedHealthcare Community & State since January 2010. He is responsible for the oversight and compliance strategy for the Community & State Medicaid business. Before joining UnitedHealthcare Community & State, Chris was the Corporate Compliance Officer and Senior Legal Counsel for the pharmaceutical benefit management company, Prime Therapeutics LLC. He has also served as legal counsel for OptumHealth (a UnitedHealth Group company) and HealthPartners, in addition to pervious roles as an attorney, health plan compliance professional, and a state insurance regulator. Chris received his bachelor’s and law degrees from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks.
